Hi, I’m Rimpal Khunt — the hands, heart, and soul behind Cosmetology Ottawa.
I’m a licensed esthetician, nail artist, and wellness practitioner with a passion for making people feel beautiful, confident, and seen.
My Journey to Beauty & Wellness
Beauty has always been my way of caring for people.
I started my career in healthcare and Ayurveda, learning the science of healing and balance. But I quickly realized that people didn’t just want clinical treatments — they wanted to feel nurtured, heard, and beautiful in their own skin.
That realization led me to cosmetology, where I could blend precision with warmth, expertise with artistry.
I trained in advanced skincare, nail design, and holistic wellness — learning everything from medical-grade facials to intricate nail art to therapeutic massage. Every course taught me something new about how transformative self-care can be.
When I opened my first beauty studio, I discovered something important:
Luxury isn’t about price tags. It’s about presence.
It’s the way someone feels when they’re truly taken care of. When there’s no rush. When every detail is considered. When they leave feeling like themselves again — only better.
Why I Started Venus Beauty & Spa in Ottawa
When I moved to Ottawa, I knew I wanted to create something different.
Not a busy salon with back-to-back appointments. Not a sterile spa where you’re just a number.
I wanted a space where beauty felt personal, intimate, and warm, where every client gets my full attention and care.
That’s how Venus was born.

Do I need to book an appointment?
Yes, appointments are recommended to ensure availability. We accept walk-ins when time permits, but booking ahead guarantees your preferred time and service.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. All prices include applicable taxes.
What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee.
How long do services take?
Service times vary by treatment. A classic manicure takes about 30–45 minutes, while a full BIAB set or Éminence facial may take 60–90 minutes. Tattoo sessions are booked separately and vary by design.
Are gift certificates available?
Yes! Gift certificates are available for any amount and can be used toward any service. Ask us in-studio or call to purchase.
